Dr. Caroline Gottschalk leads the Headwaters Lab, now based at Western Michigan University. We work in community with nonprofit and Tribal partners on environmental projects at the intersection of public engagement, freshwater science, and environmental writing, with a focus on stream restoration, flooding, and watershed based management.
While our particular interests vary, Headwaters Lab researchers are intellectually curious, disciplinarily fluid, and committed to working in good relation.
